KNC hosted two world renowned Quran reciters from Kuwait and Egypt to lead our communities for taraweeh prayers. Joining first for Iftar, Sheikh Essa Alenizy and Sheikh Dr Ahmad Masarawi both led Maghrib for the community in the last ten days of Ramadan, where the special night of Layla tul Qadr is said to be.  

Sheikh Essa Alenizy visited courtesy of Islamic Relief who also donated bottled water and prayer mats for the duration of the Ramadan, as they have done in the past. Sheikh Dr Ahmad Masarawi visited courtesy of Human Appeal. We experienced the heart softening and soothing recitation from the Shuyookh, with Sheikh Alenizy reciting from Juz 27 with Surah Adh-Dhariyat starting “قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ”. Sheikh Dr Ahmad Masarawi begun his recitation from Juz 29 with Surah Qiyamah. Both surah Qiyamah and Adh-Dhariat were revealed in Makkah.
